Delve into the desert plants and animals biosphere with Kerry Berman!

Desert plants and animals occupy an important place in the biosphere!
One out of every 5 plants in the valley have been used for:

Food (prickly pear cactus, mesquite, yucca, cholla)
Clothing (agave, yucca, desert willow, giant milkweed)
Natural Dye (cochineal bugs, eucalyptus, pomegranate,)
Medicine (prickly pear, Mormon Tea, Creosote bush, aloe vera,)
Housing (cacti, Palo Verde, ocotillo, mesquite.)
In addition, desert animals can be cute (cottontails), comical (roadrunners), common (ants) and scarce (fringe-toed lizards!)

Local guide Kerry Berman (Desert Eco Tours) will share information about desert plants and animals, from little critters to Mountain Lions to Black Bears.
